School Lunch for October 11th, 2012

Those are whole, fried fish. I strongly dislike fried fish days. I’m uncomfortable eating the entire body of an animal basically as is. It stems from a childhood incident with a roast pig on a spit that broke my kid brain. I ended up giving these fishies to the kid sitting next to me. He, and the girl across from him, delighted in torturing me. Look, teacher. I’m eating the head! It’s smiling at you! Now, look. There are the eggs! It was mostly rice and hijiki for me this day. The soup wasn’t half bad in comparison to the fish gore the kids put on. Oh, the horror.
